We invite you to a space to breathe and live. This is an opportunity to press pause on the constant chatter in our minds so that we can be fully present with what emerges. We will have space to explore the paths we’ve been on and the paths that may lie ahead.
The retreat will be the place where our conversations unfold. It will be around the table as we share food and experiences. It may be in the woods and the meadows that we walk through or beside the river. It could be in the quiet spaces for reflection as we hear the journeys of others and perhaps listen to our own stories in ways we hadn’t anticipated. It might even be through remembering the faces of the people we’ve loved, the losses we've experienced or memories of the moments we return to when we feel lost.
Loss is universal, we have all lost something or someone. Some lose loved ones, some lose relationships, some lose employment or the capacity to engage in life as they once did. Opportunity is also universal. This retreat invites people who are seeking to renew and live joyfully and fully after the challenge of loss or in the midst of life challenge. We are not seeking to go back to something that once was, but rather to live forward into something that is being born in us, something that we have the opportunity and courage to create. We are seeking to breathe again.
The challenge many of us face takes its toll on our Spirit. We become jaded, exhausted, and empty. Through the vehicles of artistic creation, nature, music, writing, walking , stillness and storytelling, we will be creating a space to renew our Spirits and continue to discover the way forward.
We are not inviting you to a training workshop nor are we inviting you to come and learn a step by step “how to” approach. This is not a retreat about breath work. We are not inviting you to sit and listen to the latest theories on recovering from loss. This is not a place to receive counseling or therapy. We are inviting you to a creative honest space where together we may Find Our Breath and live an enchanted life.
